Realty firm changes hands

Keoni Fursse and Robert Vafaie have acquired Kahului-based Prudential Iwado Realty and plan to expand the firm's reach over the next year.

The company announced it has set a goal of managing more than 2 million square feet of commercial and residential properties by the end of 2013 by way of obtaining new accounts, buying out or merging with other firms and expanding its commercial real estate presence on Oahu.

Prudential Iwado Realty manages approximately 800,000 square feet of commercial and residential properties on Maui and the Big Island.

The company said it expects to add up to 20 agents on Maui over the next year.
