The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team extended its perfect start to its inaugural Big West season by sweeping UC Santa Barbara 25-13, 25-16, 25-21 on Saturday in Santa Barbara.
Emily Hartong had 16 kills for the Rainbow Wahine (14-2, 7-0 Big West), No. 8 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. Kalei Adolpho had six kills and a .667 hitting percentage. In her last three matches, the Molokai High School graduate has 20 kills and a .543 percentage. Kamehameha Maui graduate Ginger Long had an ace.
Leah Sully had 10 kills for the Gauchos (9-11, 2-3).
