Richard James Acain, 68, of Makawao, Maui, passed away on September 20, 2012, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on May 21, 1944, in Paia, Maui.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Christ the King Catholic Church; mass will begin at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:30 p.m., at St. Joseph Cemetery in Makawao.
Richard was a personal cook. He is survived by his brothers, Edward (Lucy E.) Acain, William (Ynez) Acain, John (Leilani) Acain, Anthony (Norma) Acain, George (Dawn) DeLara; sisters, Filimena (Paul) Ham, Lucy Acain, Sister Julia Marie Acain, Sister Catherine Acain, Jane (Ernest) Leong, Catherine (Burton) Tsue; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
