The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to six matches on Friday with a 25-15, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19 victory over Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Emily Hartong had 20 kills for the Rainbow Wahine (13-2, 6-0 Big West), ranked eighth in the nation by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, and Ashley Kastl and Jade Vorster each had 11. Vorster had a hitting percentage of .500.
Molokai High School graduate Kalei Adolpho had five kills for UH, and Kamehameha Maui graduate Ginger Long played in her 11th match.
Hawaii finished with a .259 hitting percentage.
The Rainbow Wahine were without Jane Croson, suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. Croson is second on the team in kills, averaging 3.84 per set.
Molly Pon and Holly Franks each had 12 kills for the Mustangs (1-15, 0-4), and Chelsea Hardin added eight.
Hawaii will play at UC Santa Barbara today.
