The county Department of Housing and Human Concerns' Office on Aging will sponsor a "Better Choices . . . Better Health" workshop on Molokai.
The workshop series will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon on six consecutive Tuesdays, beginning this week, at the site of the former Enrichment Day Care Senior Center at Home Pumehana.
The workshop will provide practical information, tools and support to people of all ages who are interested in incorporating healthier habits into their lives, and help people with chronic conditions better manage their health.
Participants will receive "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions, 3rd Edition," and an audio relaxation CD titled "Time for Healing."
The cost for the six-session workshop is $10 for those 60 and older; $35 for those younger than 60.
Scholarship applications are available for those experiencing financial hardship, and must be completed and submitted prior to the first workshop.
Transportation may be available. Caregivers are encouraged to attend.
