Clinic offers chance to play with LPGA golfers

The Beyond the Rainbow Foundation's free Aloha Team Classic Pro-Am Clinic is scheduled for 3-5 p.m.

on Oct. 17 at the Kaanapali Golf Courses.

Spots are available for 30 youths ages 10-18 to play three holes with an LPGA player. Instruction will also be offered to youths ages 5-9.

Registration to play with an LPGA golfer will begin on Tuesday. Registration can be completed by emailing info@AlohaTeamClassic.org or calling 665-5815. All registrations must include the junior golfer's name and age, name of a parent or guardian, a telephone number and an email address. Youths playing with the LPGA golfers will need need to bring their own clubs and be accompanied by an adult.

Spots are also available for a pro-am on Oct. 18. Amateur golfers interested in playing should contact the foundation for pricing and registration via the same email address and phone number used for the youth event.

Hamai Memorial golf tournament set

The 39th annual Lester Hamai Memorial women's golf tournament is scheduled for Oct. 13 at Maui Country Club in Spreckelsville.

The tournament is open to all members of Maui women's golf clubs with established GHIN handicaps. The event is also a fundraiser for the Maui County Boy Scouts.

Meeting scheduled for Central Maui LL

Central Maui Little League will conduct a general membership meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the cafeteria of Maui Waena Intermediate School in Kahului.

Hawaiian Style to hold open gym sessions

Hawaiian Style Volleyball will conduct open gym sessions from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays at Haliimaile Gym, starting next week.
