Lillian Kailihiwa Iwamasa, 89, of Lahaina, passed away on September 10, 2012 at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
Private services were held.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. Iwamasa was born on January 18, 1923 in Waikapu. She was a housekeeper at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her husband Matsuji Iwamasa, and daughter Lily Ann Fume. She is survived by her children, Wilma (William) Lani, Kenneth Iwamasa, Thomas (Lynn) Iwamasa, eighteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Lillian loved picking limu and spending time with her family at the beach. She was a simple woman, who enjoyed raw onion with alae salt, canned salmon and poi, opai, and crackers with guava jelly and tea. In her younger days, she bowled on the Snow White Laundry team. She was so special, very humble, giving, loving, and grateful, and we miss her very much.
