Bible study seminar to be offered
Steve Willis, a senior pastor at Valley Harvest Ministries in Dublin, Va., will lead a seminar titled "Bible Study Methods & Resources" Oct. 3 to 6 at the Wailuku Door of Faith Church.
Willis established the Word of Faith Christian Academy in Belpre, Ohio; led missions in Cambodia; and taught leadership training in Bangkok.
There's an introductory $20 enrollment fee for Bible teachers, pastors and students who register before Sept. 30. After that date, the fee is $50 per semester for auditing the course, or $150 for a degree.

Sale to benefit Nepal mission trip
Calvary Chapel South Maui will hold a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday to raise money to send a mission to Nepal.
The group aims to help people suffering from Hansen's disease, orphans and those saved from the sex-trafficking industry by "bringing them the hope and love of Jesus Christ." The group also will distribute water filters and the Bible in the Nepali language.
The trip is scheduled for Oct. 18 to Nov. 4.

Praying program to be held Sept. 29
A free program on learning a way of praying the Holy Bible as was done in the earliest days of Christianity will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 29 at Trinity-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Kihei.
The program is sponsored by Trinity-by-the-Sea and Contemplative Outreach of Hawaii. It will be led by Brother Jim Vorndran, a teacher of contemplative prayer in the United States and Canada.
While the program is free, donations will be accepted. Light refreshments will be provided.
The church is at 100 Kulanihakoi St.
