Tadashi Okuda, 89, of Kula, Maui, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2012 at home. Private services were held.
Nakamura Mortuary assisted with the arrangements.
Mr. Okuda was born on July 14, 1922 in Paia, Maui. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Maui Palms Hotel.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Mildred "Millie" Okuda.
He is survived by son Darryl Okuda; daughter Charlene (Clyde) Sumida; granddaughter Courtney Okuda; brothers Shigeo Okuda, Michio "Mike" (Thelma) Okuda, Fumio "Donald" (Jeanette) Okuda, Yukio (Jane) Okuda; sisters Haruko "Nora" Mackey; Ayako Ventura.
Tadashi loved fishing and golf and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and loved by all. He was a veteran of the 442nd K. Company and recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal.
