Rotary to focus on foundation

Stanley Tokigawa and Tom Teruya will visit eight Maui Rotary clubs this week to speak about the Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation.

Presentations by both men are scheduled for the following clubs: Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pioneer Inn in Lahaina; Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Five Palms Beach Grill in Kihei; Rotary Club of Kihei Wailea at noon Wednesday at Mulligans on the Blue in Wailea; Rotary Club of Wailuku at 7 a.m. Thursday at Vineyard Food Co. in Wailuku; Rotary Club of Valley Isle Sunset at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Fernando's Mexican Grill at Queen Ka'ahumanu Center; and Rotary Club of Upcountry at 8 a.m. Friday at Casanova Italian Restaurant and Deli in Makawao.

Tokigawa is to address the Rotary Club of Maui at noon Thursday at Leis Family Class Act Restaurant at the University of Hawaii Maui College, and Teruya will speak to the Rotary Club of Lahaina at noon Thursday at Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort.

Tokigawa has been a Rotarian since 1982 and is a past president of the Ala Moana Rotary Club. Teruya has been a Rotarian since 1987 and has served as a past president of the Rotary Club of Kaneohe and three terms as an assistant district governor. Both Tokigawa and Teruya are HRYF officers.

The presentation will include information about the HRYF organization, suggest ways that clubs can help students improve their interview skills, and share details about the new selection process for awarding scholarships.
