Sue Tsuyako Arisumi, 86, of Kula, died on August 15, 2012 at her home under the care of Hospice Maui.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 27 at Nakamura Mortuary; with a service at 10:30 a.m. The family requests no flowers, no monetary contributions.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. Arisumi was born on August 19, 1925 in Waianae, HI. She was the daughter of Mr. Yosaku and Mrs. Tsuneyo Fujihara.
She was grateful to have served the community in her position at Associate Manager with the Red Cross for her entire career.
She is survived by her husband, Hiroshi Arisumi; her children, Lloyd (Pauline) Arisumi, June (Raymond) Yamamoto and Adele Sumida; grandchildren, Sanford (Lilin) Arisumi, Nikki (Dan) Hsiung, Ross Yamamoto, Jaclyn Yamamoto, Rick Yamamoto, Randy Yamamoto, Andrew Sumida, three great grandchildren; brother, Glenn (Lily) Fujihara; sister, Ruby (Richard) Kano; and many nephews and nieces.
Sue volunteered for the March of Dimes for many years. She was well traveled, enjoyed cooking, arranging flowers, and was warm to everyone she met.
