Exporter forum set for Friday
HONOLULU - A small business exporter forum will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Hawai'i Convention Center on Oahu.
U.S. Sen. Daniel K. Akaka will deliver opening remarks. Akaka is also a senior member of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee.
At the forum, participants can learn how to increase foreign sales by obtaining protection against the risk of nonpayment, extending credit to one's buyers, accessing vital working capital, finding new markets and customers, and understanding how other companies have used government resources to export.
