Meadow Gold Dairies' is accepting registrations for its annual Healthy Baby Contest on Sept. 29 at the Maui Fair.
Contestants born on or between March 29, 2010, and Sept. 29, 2011, will be eligible to participate. There is no admission fee and the deadline to enter is Sept. 19 for the first 120 contestants.
Contestants are judged on physical appearance, healthiness and personality, with each category scored on a 50-point scale. The five highest-scoring babies are each awarded a U.S. savings bond ranging from $50 to $500 from Meadow Gold Dairies of Hawaii, plus other toys and prizes.
The 2012 Healthy Baby Winner for Maui also wins a weekend get away at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas and other prizes. All contestants will receive a goodie bag and a portrait sitting on event day from Red Door Portrait Design.
The Healthy Baby Contest has been an tradition since 1953 throughout Hawaii.
Interested parents may register their child online at www.lanimoo.com. Applications and waiver forms may also be found at all Minit Stop locations on Maui, Takamiya Market, Ah Fooks Supermarket and Cash & Carry.
