* Troy Roble has been named director of sales for the Maui division of Honolulu-based solar energy firm RevoluSun.
He will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing the company's local sales force and expanding operations.
Roble previously held sales and management positions in the solar industry in California and Arizona.

Roble holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of San Diego and a master's in business administration from the University of California-San Diego.
* The Makena Beach & Golf Resort has named Leo Mallari Jr. director of food and beverage and Rossel Critchlow director of training.
Mallari will be responsible for overseeing the resort's four restaurants and outlets and its catering and food service programs.
He most recently was director of restaurants for The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. He previously served as director of outlets and dining room manager for the Sheraton Maui and assistant food and beverage director at the Stockton Hilton in California.
As director of training, Critchlow will spearhead training of the resort's more than 400 employees. She will be responsible for the development and improvement of leader skills in guest service, performance management, communication, problem-solving and fiscal responsibility.
Critchlow previously work-ed as a human resource specialist for HMSHost Corp. and as a human resources administrative professional for Maui Land & Pineapple Co.
