DVD seminar presented on Mondays

KAHULUI - The Kahului Seventh-day Adventist Church is presenting an ongoing DVD seminar titled "Extravagant Love, Exploring the Matchless Beauty of Christ" by Pastor Ty Gibson of 3ABN/TV Network, 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays.

Gibson unveils the extreme, radical and totally satisfying love of God and receiving the power to live our lives in passionate response to that love, a news release about the event said.

The seminar is free and will be held in the multipurpose room at the church, located at 261 S. Puunene Ave. at the Wakea Avenue intersection. The parking entrance is on Wakea Avenue.

Children to perform 'Paul & Co.' Sunday

WAILUKU - The musical drama "Paul & Co." will be performed by the children of Wailuku Union Church and Iao United Church of Christ on Sunday at Wailuku Union Church.

The performance will include the text of Mary Nelson Keithahn and music by John D. Horman.

"Paul & Co." is the story of the Apostle Paul's Second Missionary Journey with Silas and Timothy that takes them to the city of Philippi in Macedonia. There they meet a wealthy businesswoman, anger the owner of a fortune-telling slave and save the life of the jailer who was in charge of them.

The performance has been the focus of the churches' two-week program called Joyful Noise. The children made crafts that serve as props for the play.

The service begins at 9 a.m. Iao United Church of Christ's 9:30 a.m. service has been canceled.
