HONOLULU (AP) - PBS Hawaii has reopened a newly restored television studio that was damaged in a fire seven months ago.
Kahu Kawika Kahiapo, a PBS Hawaii board member and Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning musical artist, blessed the studio Monday.
The November fire started when a studio light blew out and the flames spread to ceiling insulation.
PBS Hawaii CEO Leslie Wilcox said insurance covered the cost of the restoration work.
