It's hard to get more up close and personal to the ocean than at Sarento's on the Beach in Kihei. Mother's Day breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to noon. The chef has concocted a prix-fixe menu for $25 for adults; and $4.95 for keiki, plus tax and tip.
To start off, enjoy the first course of warm malassadas made in house and tossed with cinnamon sugar. Then choose an entree such as eggs Benedict, Yazmin's huevos Rancheros, or Caprese omelet. You may also get Starbucks coffee or hot tea. Call 879-4171.
Seascape Ma'alaea Restaurant will offer a brunch buffet for Mother's Day from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for $24.99 for adults and $14.99 for children 3-12. This is in addition to its full regular menu.
On the brunch buffet, you'll find a variety of fresh greens with 12 toppings such as quinoa, soy beans, grape tomatoes, sprouts and carrots. Hot entrees cover breakfast and lunch appetites such as scrambled eggs, Portuguese sausage, mini muffins, snapper in chardonnay beurre blanc, grilled beef medallions and vegetable Napolean.

Four Seasons Resort Maui in Wailea will present a lavish Mother's Day Brunch in DUO from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a cost of $95 for adults; and $39 for keiki 6 to 12 years old. For $20 extra, adults may indulge in the farm-to-bar Bloody Mary and Mimosa station with fresh-squeezed juices and mixes of the highest caliber.
Food highlights include a seafood bar with chilled Kona lobster tails and crab claws, freshly shucked oysters, sushi, breakfast items, appetizers, soups, salads, small plates, local harvest farmers market, and a carving station with whole roasted salmon, Berkshire pork and herb-crusted prime rib with all of the condiments.

Gannon's: A Pacific View Restaurant in Wailea will dish up expansive views and plenty of room and parking for the whole family. The recently renovated Ko at the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui Resort in Wailea will be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and dinner from 6 to 9 p.m., the latter with live music.

Cary & Eddie's Hideaway will dish up affordable brunch offerings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $14.99 with omelets, sausages, prepared salads, baked ham, fruit, pancakes, fried rice, potatoes, drinks and desserts.
In addition, it will offer its American and Hawaiian dinner buffet with soup and salad island and other enhancements for $24.99 from 5 p.m. to closing. Or opt for special dinner combos such as Alaskan king crab and New York steak. Prices vary.
Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu will dish up its own version of an all-you-can-eat brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The chefs of Maui Flavors Catering will tempt you with hot breakfast items, where you can make your own Belgian waffles with assorted toppings.
The hot lunch array features kalbi-marinated hibachi pork loin, Waikapu-style miso soup, slow-baked mac 'n' cheese, sauteed ono in lemon-butter-and-caper sauce, and Bruddah Willy's sticky ribs. Seafood will be chilled on ice, and you'll find tropical fruit, Kula greens and an assortment of desserts, coffee, tea and water. Nearby in Waikapu, drive all the way to the top of the hill to dine at the King Kamehameha Golf Club from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. An elaborate brunch buffet will include omelet and carving stations, platters of smoked salmon and bagels, seafood on ice, salads such as Caesar and artichoke with feta cheese. Hot entrees include fresh island fish, grilled chicken, roasted pork loin, chow mein and sauteed seafood medley. Desserts range from chocolate-cherry cake to lemon mousse tarts. Maui Beach's dinner buffet seatings are at 5 and 7 p.m. and the all-you-can-eat extravaganza is $39.99 for adults, and $19.99 for keiki 6 to 11.
