Lingle to speak at events Sunday
Former Republican Gov. Linda Lingle will speak on "common-sense solutions" during two Maui events Sunday.
The first will be at 1 p.m. at the Maui Research & Technology Park at the top of Lipoa Street in Kihei, and the second will be at 4 p.m. at the Lahaina Jodo Mission.
Lingle, also a former mayor of Maui County, is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Daniel Akaka.
She is expected to discuss campaign issues such as lower gas and electricity prices, Social Security and health care.
