Rummage sale to be held Saturday
KAHULUI - Tenrikyo Maui Church will hold its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 649 S. Kamehameha Ave. in Kahului.

Service planned to mark holidays
KIHEI - Yom Hazikaron, Israeli Veterans Memorial Day, and Yom Ha'atzma'ut, Israeli Independence Day, will be observed on Wednesday at the Jewish Congregation of Maui, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
A short memorial service will be held in memory of the men and women who lost their lives in the defense and the creation of the state of Israel. A celebration to mark the independence of Israel in May 1948 will follow.
This is the 64th anniversary of the nation and the return of Jews to their homeland.
Falafel sandwiches will be available for purchase at the event.
