HONOLULU - The struggles continued for the University of Hawaii men's volleyball team Saturday as the Warriors lost for the 13th time in 14 matches by falling to Long Beach State in four sets at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The ninth-ranked 49ers won 27-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-22 in what was the final home match of the season for the No. 14 Warriors.
Harrison Carroll had 19 kills and Steven Hunt added 18 for UH, which was outblocked 18.5 to 8.0 in the match.
Punahou School graduate Taylor Crabb led Long Beach State (13-12, 8-10 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) with 20 kills.
The Warriors (7-18, 4-16) close the regular season with a two-match series at UC Santa Barbara next weekend.
