KIHEI - Kihei Lutheran Church has announced its Holy Week worship services.
It all begins Sunday, on Palm Sunday, with services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. There will be a procession with palms and Holy Communion.
The church will celebrate Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, April 6, with Trinity Episcopal Church by the Sea.
The Maundy Thursday service will start at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity by the Sea, 100 Kulanihakoi St. There will be foot-washing and Holy Communion.
The Good Friday service will begin at 7 p.m. at Kihei Lutheran. The service will include readings of Christ's Passion and the extinguishing of candles.
On Easter Sunday, April 8, the resurrection of Christ will be celebrated at Kihei Lutheran in services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Both services will include Holy Communion and performances by the congregation's choir and hula group. Between services at 9:15 a.m., there will be a Keiki Resurrection Celebration.
A congregational luau/potluck lunch begins at 12:30 p.m.
