HONOLULU - The University of Hawaii baseball team trailed Oregon before recording the game's second out and went on to lose 14-5 on Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbows (1-2) allowed 15 hits and committed three errors - two in the Ducks' eight-run fourth inning.
Kyle Garlick hit a two-run homer for Oregon (2-1) in the third, and finished 2-for-4 with three runs. Every player in the Ducks' starting lineup reached base at least once.
Conner George was 2-for-4 with two runs for UH, Joe Goldenberg hit a two-run double and Trevor Podratz scored two runs.
Jon Flinn was the losing pitcher, permitting seven runs - five earned - in 3 2/3 innings. He gave up seven hits and a walk, hit two batters and struck out none.
Brando Tessar earned the victory, allowing four runs in 6 2/3 innings.
The teams' four-game series concludes today.
