SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Joston Thomas had a career-high 29 points and 12 rebounds as the University of Hawaii men's basketball team erased a 14-point second-half deficit to beat San Jose State 83-81 in overtime on Saturday.
Zane Johnson added 19 points and Vander Joaquim had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors (13-9, 5-3 Western Athletic Conference), who trailed 54-40 with 13:14 remaining in regulation.
UH shot 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field in the second half to rally.
Wil Carter had a career-high 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Spartans (7-16, 0-8). James Kinney added 21 for San Jose State.
The Rainbow Warriors next host Nevada on Thursday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
