UH run win streak over Pacific to 31

STOCKTON, Calif. - Steven Hunt had a match-high 14 kills to lead the University of Hawaii men's volleyball team to a 25-21 25-22, 25-19 sweep of Pacific on Saturday.

A day after rallying to defeat the Tigers in five sets, the 14th-ranked Warriors (6-5, 3-3 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) won their 31st straight match against Pacific (3-7, 1-4) in dominating fashion. Hawaii outhit Pacific .274 to .133.

Taylor Averill added 10 kills and four blocks for UH.

Adam Troy led No. 12 Pacific with 10 kills.

The Warriors next host UC Irvine for a pair of MPSF matches on Friday and Feb. 12.
