MALIBU, Calif. - The University of Hawaii men's volleyball team lost to Pepperdine in four sets for the second straight night Saturday, falling 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23 at Firestone Fieldhouse.
Steven Hunt and J.P. Marks each had 15 kills for the 12th-ranked Warriors (2-5, 1-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation), who have lost four straight matches. Taylor Averill had 10 kills and Jarrod Lofy had seven blocks.
Maurice Torres led the No. 7 Waves (5-1, 4-0) with 21 kills, Josh Taylor had 14 and Chase Ross added 11.
The Warriors next host Grand Canyon on Friday and Saturday for a pair of nonconference matches at the Stan Sheriff Center.
