Warriors sweep past Pride

HONOLULU - Steven Hunt had 16 kills and JP Marks added 12 to lead the 13th-ranked University of Hawaii men's volleyball team to a 25-21, 26-24, 25-12 victory over Springfield on Thursday night in the Outrigger Hotels Invitational at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Warriors (2-1) outhit the Division-III Pride .437 to .226 for the match.

Angel Perez led Springfield (0-1) with 10 kills.

UH faces No. 9 Lewis today and No. 3 UCLA on Saturday to finish up the tournament. The Bruins defeated the Flyers 27-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18 in the tournament opener earlier Thursday.
