Want to pop the question? Or celebrate a birthday or anniversary in an idyllic and exotic oceanfront setting? The Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is now offering two dinner options that offer some of the best places to have a quiet and romantic meal on the island.
"Whether you want to ask for her hand in marriage or totally impress your wife with an anniversary she'll remember, the candlelit cabana as well as oceanfront dinners are for you," says Sally Nill, the resort's food and beverage manager.
"You get your own private waiter, tiki torches and a fabulous four-course menu with beverages, wine or champagne. It will certainly take your relationship over the top to the next level."

The cabanas are located by the resort's new saline infinity pool and are rented by guests during the day for shade and close proximity to the water.
The oceanfront lawn is right on the edge of the Pacific in a private setting not named by the resort.
"Both offer incredible views of Molokini, Kahoolawe and Lanai islands," says Sous Chef Jason Carpio.
"The menus are the same, but the price is higher at the oceanfront lawn setting because of the logistics of setting it up. It's expensive, but with the view and all of the other touches, it's definitely worth it."
Executive Chef Manfred Jonas has created two menu options. Menu one begins with Maui onion soup with Swiss cheese and sourdough croutons, followed by hearts of Romaine Caesar with shaved parmesan and anchovies.
Entree choices are paniolo rib-eye steak charbroiled with herb butter and served with natural jus and asparagus; or blackened salmon with smoked pineapple and sake vinaigrette with steamed rice and sauteed broccoli. Dessert is house-made Kula berry cheese cake with coffee or tea.
Menu two features lobster mac 'n' cheese; house salad; petit filet with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach, or seafood linguine; and Kona coffee layer cake. You may talk to the staff about beverages.
