For instance, Japengo's generously portioned pupu platter, which regularly sells for $26, packs in a big assortment of Hawaiian island favorites including crab and shrimp cakes, curry-dusted calamari, crispy ahi poke and tempura shrimp.

Kamaaina receive an additional 20 percent off the entire food purchase (it doesn't include alcohol, tax or gratuity). Try the Singaporean chili crab, the Korean seafood pancake, and the Vietnamese-style Kurobuta pork on glass noodles.

The indoor and outdoor seating areas include the Village Alley Walk, the Sushi Lounge and the Moon Bar, where guests may admire the resort's waterfalls and panoramic views of Kaanapali Beach while listening to live entertainment by Omar and the Soultones.
