I'o Restaurant, located oceanfront at 505 Front Street in Lahaina, is offering kamaaina discounts of 50 percent off entrees until the end of September. Those with valid Hawaii I.D.s will also get half off specialty drinks and martinis Fridays and Saturdays through Sept. 30.
With pretty much all of its produce grown on the owners' O'o Farm in Kula, I'o boasts fresh tastes from Upcountry.
"We are featuring our new menu, where you can construct your own plate by ordering one of our new risottos with a side of one of the veggies from O'o Farm and add a side of protein like fish, filet, pork and scallops," says the restaurant's partner Stephen Bel-Robert. "It's pretty fun!"

Risotto bar flavors are heirloom carrot, Kula greens, organic beet and the Royalty packed with Ali'i mushrooms flamed with brandy and Olowalu orange zest.
You may "raise the bar" with fresh fish seasoned with Molokai sea salt and marinated in fresh herbs and cold-pressed olive oil with sauces such as goat cheese fondue or lobster butter.
Other popular dinner entrees include lamb "Pa" in Madras curry; 16-ounce veal porterhouse with roast root vegetables; and the I'o Trio.
