Pet memorial service July 16
WAILUKU - Wailuku Hongwanji Mission will hold a special pet memorial service at 5 p.m. July 16 at the temple at 1828 Vineyard St.
To participate, bring photos labeled with the pet's name, if possible. In the aspiration, the Rev. Shinkai Murakami will mention each pet's name.
"For people who have pets, many are considered part of their family. For people who live alone, the pets were great companions and they gave unconditional love and smiles. When we lose our beloved pets, our memories of them never fade," Murakami said.
