Who is your personal hero and why? "My personal hero is my mom. She has shown me how to be independent and determined in everything I do. I have learned how to manage my time and be responsible to follow through with any commitment that I make, regardless of size or importance. By her example, I have learned how to set goals whether in school or in the pool, to give 100 percent effort to reach those goals and to persevere until I accomplish those goals. My mom is an admirable, intelligent and diligent woman who continues to teach me invaluable characteristics and life lessons."
