WAILUKU - Martin Berinbaum will be guest trumpeter during Sunday services marking the beginning of Advent at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, according to an announcement.

Special music for the service will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the church's senior choir and Maui Brass Ensemble under the direction of Lisa Owen. Berinbaum is professor of trumpet and director of bands at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He performs regularly on tour.

Church members also will remember the Holy Sovereigns, King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma. They initiated the gift of Wailuku land upon which the Good Shepherd parish was founded in 1866.

The church is at 2140 Main St.

For more information, call the church office at 244-4656.
