SANCHEZ-KAHAHANE

LAHAINA - Shay-Anne Kahahane and Scot Sanchez were married April 17, 2010, at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina. The couple was born and raised on Maui and resides in Waikapu.

The bride is the daughter of Shayne and Paula-Frances Kahahane of Lahaina. She graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 1999. She serves as a reservations-and-owner-services agent at a Kaanapali resort.

The groom is the son of Leona Sanchez of Wailuku and the late Onisimo Sanchez. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1995 and is a bell-and-valet attendant at a Kaanapali resort.

Father Gary Colton officiated at the ceremony. The bridal party included maid of honor Elissa-Marie Kahahane, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Malia Kahunanui, Jerika Kahaikupuna and Lori Juan, all friends of the bride.

Roland Echalas was the best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Kusunoki, Rob Gist and Chris Andrion, friends of the groom.

The flower girl was Kaloke Dizon, and the ring bearer was Levi Kahahane-Kim, the couple's son.

A reception with 420 guests followed at Maui Tropical Plantation. Wedding guests traveled from Oregon, California, Kauai, Oahu and Hawaii.

After the wedding, the couple spent a weekend getaway at the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa and plans a weeklong cruise at the end of summer.
