Bean and Bailey event Sunday

WAILUKU - The Christian comedy duo of Bean and Bailey will be appearing at the Wailuku Door of Faith Church on Sunday at 6 p.m.

They are being featured at the Hawaiian Island Ministries Honolulu 2010 Youth Program. For more information about the duo, go to the Web site www.beanandbailey.com/bio.htm.

The event is free.

Pot blessing of food to be held March 11

WAILUKU - A pot blessing of food will be held at 4:30 p.m. March 11 at the Living Way Church hall in Happy Valley.

The church is in the old T.K. Supermarket.

The event will be a gathering for those who minister to inmates at Maui Community Correctional Center.

Pastor Greg Dela Cruz will lead the prayers.

Space is limited, and those planning to attend are asked to call 281-9390 before Monday.

Contemporary family service set

KEOKEA - St. John's Episcopal Church will have a contemporary family service at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church at 8992 Kula Highway in Keokea.

The service is meant to give families the day to hike, explore and spend time together. Then families may come to church for a short service designed to engage children with music and a message.
