* Personal: Age 17; daughter of Neal and Nena Wakayama of Pukalani; enjoys reading, drawing, listening to music, occasionally playing video games, and spending time with family and friends.
* At School: Marching/pep (drum major) and symphonic bands, Key Club treasurer, National Honor Society president.
* Beyond High School: Go to college and major in animation; hopes to pursue a career at the Walt Disney Co.'s Pixar Animation Studios.

* Who is your personal hero and why?
"My personal hero would actually be a group of people: my family and friends. I think of them as my heroes because they always support me in my decisions. They also bring the best out in me. I strive to do my best in order to become successful to make my family proud. My friends also contribute to my drive for success because I don't want to be left behind. I push myself to do the best I can to keep up with them. I'm grateful and lucky to be blessed with such amazing people who are my heroes."
