KAHULUI - The 23rd edition of the Hawaii Cup came to a dramatic conclusion Saturday with the Maui Rip Girls suffering a heartbreaking loss in the under-19 girls final in a tournament dominated by the Maui United Soccer Club, which captured top honors in five of the six divisions.

Tiyana Arakaki scored on a wind-blown shot from near midfield just minutes into overtime, giving the Pearl City Shockers a 2-1 sudden-death victory over the Rip Girls. The Shockers led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Dana Domingo before Kaylee Kihalua's late goal forced the game into extra time.

The U-14 girls final got off to a wild start, with Maui United leading 3-2 after just 12 minutes thanks to Brianna Gaddis, an own goal and Ashley Barboza. Tori Ching added a goal in the second half for a 4-2 win over the Kaneohe Storm.

In the U-12 girls final, second-half goals by Lilyan Bermudez and Rachel Kaulupale lifted MUSC to a 2-0 win over Na Mo'o.

Sasha Miranda accounted for both of Maui United's goals in a 2-1 win over the Kauai Sparks in the U-10 girls final.

MUSC romped to a 9-1 win over Manuia 'O Maui in the U-12 boys final. Kailoa Akoi scored three goals, while Victor Roman and Colton Cabana each added two. Other scorers for MUSC were Kyle Knutson and Austin Sajur. Jered Kapisi accounted for Manuia's goal.
