FLORIBELLE MAE DELA CRUZ
Passion for Fashion Club president, library and teacher's aide, physical education class recreation leader, performed as part of her class's homecoming dance group, was selected to present her senior project about being a fashion coordinator to the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, fashion coordinator for Lahainaluna's Prom Expo Fashion Show and Summer Fashion Show, participated in Rally for America observances that were held to remember the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
* Off Campus:
Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteer, Lokahi Giving Project volunteer.
* Beyond High School:
Plans to attend Maui Community College to complete her general education courses, then transfer to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles with the goal of being a fashion coordinator.
* Who is your personal hero and why?
"My personal heroes are my mom and dad. They have made great sacrifices for my sister, brother and me so we can have a better life. They camefrom the Philippines and have worked hard to provide for us.They always have been very supportive of me.They taught me to be a better person overall every day.They taught me to set up a good life and career for myself so that I can be prosperous. If it was not for them, I wouldn't be who I am today."
