COQUINA BEACH, N.C. - Erin Michelle Boyland and Peter Carl Kekua'ia'ea Mickelsen were married Oct. 7, 2007, on Coquina Beach, N.C., in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Tanya Young of Kitty Hawk, N.C.
The bride is the daughter of J. Patrick and Linda M. Boyland of Gaithersburg, Md., and a graduate of Magruder High School in Maryland, Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina and Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. She is currently a 3rd-grade teacher at Waihee Elementary School.
The groom is the son of Richard Mickelsen and Mindy Weeks of Oahu and a graduate of Baldwin High School. He served three years in the Hawaii Army National Guard and is a journeyman electrician.

The bridal party included Ellen Wambach and Kelley Prota, friends of the bride, with junior bridesmaid Devaney Prota and flower girl Olivia Prota, daughters of Kelley Prota.
The groomsmen included best man Ralph Pascual, friend of the groom, and Daniel Boyland, brother of the bride.
A reception followed the wedding in Manteo on Roanoke Island. The couple resides in Kihei.
