• PERSONAL: Age 18; son of Carol Clark of Kula and Robert Liljestrand of Honolulu; enjoys filmmaking, Web design and golf.

• AT SCHOOL: Honor roll, Rotary Interact Club, Kids Helping Kids, Relay For Life, golf, Hawaiian canoe paddling.

• OFF CAMPUS: Work as Web designer and freelance videographer; was a Los Angeles film set summer intern.

• BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL: Will attend the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television; plans to eventually create independent films.

• WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING YOUTH TODAY? “Perhaps the biggest problem facing youth today is the ever-looming energy crisis. After generations of neglect, the problems that face us are at their most critical levels. The youth today must use forward thinking to provide the world with creative solutions for clean, renewable energy. We are inheriting a crisis, and it will be our job and opportunity to mend the world we are given.”
