• PERSONAL: Age 18; son of Barry and Joy Helle of Waikapu; enjoys playing sports and collecting sports memorabilia.

• AT SCHOOL: Key Club president, Pono Club treasurer, honor roll, varsity football captain, varsity soccer captain.

• OFF CAMPUS: Youth soccer and basketball referee, Wailuku Elementary School basketball coach, Maui United Soccer Club.

• BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL: After high school my goal is to play football at a West Coast college, then become a teacher and coach.

• WHO IS YOUR PERSONAL HERO AND WHY? “My personal hero is my grandfather, Goro Hokama, because he always taught me to try my best in everything I do. He taught me the importance of studying hard in school, and of treating others with respect by doing so himself. He set an example for me by living his life with integrity and honor. Most importantly, he taught me to be proud of my family, where I am from and who I am.”
