The award honors people and businesses for creative and alternative forms of transportation in commuting or daily life.

“Creative means of transportation, such as driving a golf cart to get to work on privately owned resort roads in Kaanapali, are fun for the user and help take cars off the roads,” said Theo Morrison, executive director of Lahaina Bypass Now.
“Golf carts help reduce traditional traffic and parking issues in Kaanapali, create an economical transportation option and are an excellent way to truly enjoy the sunshine and weather on Maui,” she said.
Morrison reminded, though, that golf carts arlahainabypassnow.come not legal on county or state roads.
Estin received a $20 gift certificate to Mala Ocean Tavern, which sponsors Way to Go! with Maui Tacos and Penne Pasta.
