FRIDAY, JULY 4 BULL BASH Rodeo fever will be in full swing as the annual Makawao Rodeo returns for a weekend of all things paniolo. The adrenaline-packed Bull Bash kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Oskie Rice Arena on Olinda Road. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, $3 for ages 6 to 12, children 5 and younger are free. SATURDAY, JULY 5 MAKAWAO PANIOLO PARADE The 43rd Annual Makawao Paniolo Parade will start at 9 a.m., running up Baldwin Avenue to Makawao Avenue to the Eddie Tam Memorial Center. Parade entrants include Maui Classic Cruisers, Haleakala National Park, pau riders, National Cowgirl Hall-of-Famer Rose Freitas, Kula the Clown and others. The stick-horse race will begin at 8:45 a.m. Parking will be at the Eddie Tam Memorial Center and the Oskie Rice Arena, with shuttles taking spectators from the arena into town starting at 7 a.m. and returning to the parking area until noon. Road closures for the parade will be in place at 8:45 a.m. Affected roads are:
