Ki Ho‘alu Guitar Festival fun for whole family
June 19, 2013 - Carla Tracy
Once again, The Maui News is pleased to be sponsoring the anual Ki Ho‘alu Guitar Festival from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Maui Arts & Cultural Center. It’s fun for the whole family, free and open to the public, and there will be plenty to eat.
Kalama’s Local Grinds food truck will be packed with shoyu chicken, kalua pork and cabbage served with rice and salad as well as poke bowls, chili and rice and Spam musubi. Kihei Caffe will roast fresh sweet corn and sell it on the cob.
Sumo Dogs Maui will heat things up with its Sumo Dog with potato bomb salad and so called kim chee-huuu. Whole Foods Maui will make sliders, Caesar salads, kale-cranberry salads and Asian sesame bowls in your choice of vegan or chicken. Shaka Pops will be there, too, enticing you with tropical flavors. And, last but not least, Real Fruit Ice Cream will serve vanilla ice cream blended with fresh fruit in cups and in waffle cones.
Beverage such as Coke and Sprite, coconut water and beer and wine will flow. For more details, visit Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Website.
