MPI makes state final with 2-1 win over Campbell

Four-time state champion Mid-Pacific Institute, the ILH champion who is seeded No. 2, made the Wally Yonamine Foundation Division I State Baseball Champiojnship with a 2-1 win over OIA champion and third-seeded Campbell.

It was a bit of redemption according to MPI veteran coach Dunn Muramaru after his team was seeded second last year and went 1-2 barbecue.

Right now, No. 4-seeded Hilo is clinging to a 3-2 lead over Mililani in the top of the fifth inning after a slight rain delay before the game started.
