Maui High falls to Campbell in state baseball

Campbell High School won a battle of Sabers, 5-1, over Maui High in the quarterfinals of the Wally Yonamine Foundation Division I state baseball tournament this afternoon at Maehara Stadium.

Maui High committed five costly errors that lead to four unearned runs for Campbell, including three of four that scored in the first inning.

Maui High will face Waiakea in a fifth-place semifinal today at 2 p.m., while Campbell will play Mid-Pacific in a championship semifinal at 4:30.

Right now in the final game of the day, top-seeded Baldwin leads Mililani 1-0 in the bottom of the third.
