| | Baldwin LB Jordan Hoiem commits to Oregon DucksMarch 13, 2013 - Robert ColliasBaldwin High School linebacker Jordan Hoiem verbally committed to the University of Oregon on Tuesday after a phone call from Ducks defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti, several outlets are reporting, including a paper I used to deliver and later worked for, The Eugene Register-Guard. It is amazing how fast this stuff moves — in little more than five hours (I was busy doing Seabury Hall-Baldwin volleyball Tuesday night), 247sports, where Hoiem gets four stars; Scout.com, where he is a three-star selection on eDuck.com; and Rivals.com's DuckSportsAuthority.com, where he is as of yet unranked, all reported that he had made a verbal commitment on Tuesday evening. Hoiem's decision breaks the heart of Hawaii coach Norm Chow. The Ducks are the fifth school to offer Hoiem — joining Utah, Utah State, UNLV, and Hawaii. He is Oregon's first commit to the class of 2014. We will get the full story from Hoiem himself for the paper as soon as possible. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
