Do your Maui keiki love to cook?
June 13, 2012 - Carla Tracy
Then you may want to ask them to pony up with a recipe.
“First Lady Michelle Obama and Epicurious are seeking nationwide submissions of a delicious and nutritious lunch recipe, for the chance to come to Washington, D.C. for a Kid's ‘State Dinner’ in August,” according to a press release.
The promoters are hoping Maui “keiki,” or children, have an interest to enter the contest. They have until next Sunday, June 17 to submit recipes.
“Let's Move!, the First Lady's initiative to solve the problem of childhood obesity within a generation, and Epicurious are looking for parents or legal guardians of creative kid chefs from all over the country to submit their child’s recipe for a healthy and nutritious lunch. That’s why we'll invite a winning child and their parent or legal guardian from each state and territory to join us for a Kid's "State Dinner.”
All details can be found at Epicurious Website.
