| | Isagawa named first-team All-AmericanJune 13, 2012 - Robert ColliasBaldwin High School graduate Cassy Isagawa could not have had a better freshman season for the University of Oregon. Her latest award is first-team All-American by Golf Week Magazine. Here is the press release from the school that landed in my in-box last night: EUGENE, Ore. — Freshman Cassy Isagawa was tabbed to the 2012 Golfweek All-American First Team and the All-Freshman Team. In her first season as a Duck, Isagawa golfed her way into Oregon¹s record books. This recognition becomes her fourth award of the season. She was named to the Second Team All-American by the National Golf Coaches Association and earned a spot on the All-Pac-12 First Team. Earlier this season Isagawa was selected to the Golf World Magazine Midseason All-Freshman Team. On the course, Isagawa had seven top-10 finishes in 10 events this season, including second-place finishes at the Ihlanfeldt Finale and the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. Out of 27 rounds, the freshman was the lowest scorer 18 times and was the top finisher in nine out of 10 tournaments. Isagawa tied the school record for the lowest round and set a tournament record at the 2012 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate with a seven-under par 65.
