Baldwin's Hoiem shines at Oregon Nike camp

June 11, 2012 - Robert Collias
Baldwin High School's Jordan Hoiem, a rising junior, finished with the 20th-best score out of 584 players at the Nike Football SPARQ Combine Portland over the weekend.

His score of 87.36 was fourth for the class of 2014 competitors. The 6-foot-4 1/2, 207-pound linebacker ran a 4.84-second 40-yard dash and had a vertical jump of 27.8 inches.

He is listed here as one of the "Other Underclassmen Who Impressed."

Hoiem already shone brightly at the Honolulu SPARQ event in February when he had the 11th-best score out of 453 players.

He has already been offered a scholarship by University of Hawaii coach Norm Chow, but is a sure bet to get dozens more offers this season and beyond. He has hit the radar screen in a large way with his SPARQ scores and his play this season is sure to be watched by many college recruiters.
