UPDATED: June Jones, where are you going?

December 7, 2011 - Robert Collias
Erstwhile coach June Jones, formerly the coach at Hawaii and currently the coach at SMU, has been reported as a candidate at both Arizona State and UCLA recently.

Earlier this morning he was reportedly headed to ASU, but now ESPN is saying that may not happen.

Wherever he is headed, Jones is not making friends in Dallas right now.

I have got to admit I never really did get all of the hullabaloo over Jones, a guy with a middling 121-105 overall head coaching record. He attended three colleges because he couldn't get the playing time he wanted and has never made himself a fan favorite at any of his stops, college or NFL.

And good luck to his gimmick offense working longterm in the Pac-12.

UPDATE (Thursday A.M.): Apparently, Jones is out of the running at ASU and his agent, Leigh Steinberg isn't happy about it.

Maybe, Jones is headed to Kansas.

Apparently, SMU is just fine with this vagabond coming right back, which is pretty bizarre, if you ask me.

We'll keep an an eye on this one, so stay tuned.
